This is a nice and cozy place in the middle of nowhere! After spotting this place in a Globe and Mail article, on a cold winter Friday we drove all the way from Regina to try the menu here. So bad it wasn't Sunday to try their tempting brunch, we had 4 different dishes, and they were all good. The mac and cheese was the winner though. Also my infant loved the garlic bread and lentil soup, which was rich in nutrition. We tried some dessert as well. The peacan pie was crispy and delicious. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and we definitely come back, but on a Sunday for sure!

Everything we had was great. I love their twist on the classic cajun dishes (local fish, wild rice, etc.) Meat and cheese plate was especially fantastic. I could have done without the chicken but the salami, selection of cheeses, and house-made pickles were killer. Pecan pie was the favourite dessert. Great service as well.

Slightly off the beaten path, what a find! Top-notch food, excellent service. Barely a kilometre off the Trans Canada Hwy. Lentil Gumbo with a terrific chutney- yum. Chef’s special - perfectly cooked sirloin steak on a bed of red beans, rice & corn.. And the mac and cheese was to die for!!

I forgot to mention that the chief was alone, and he did cook and serve us all by himself. Such a nice and friendly guy. Thanks for the service ☺️
